Government Issues Directives to Curb Online Child Sexual Abuse Material

In a bid to curb on-line kid statutory offence material (CSAM), the Union Ministry of physics and knowledge Technology on Tuesday asked all web service suppliers (ISPs) to stop the distribution and transmission of such content into Bharat by adopting and implementing web Watch Foundation Resources on or before Gregorian calendar month thirty one.

The ministry educated ISPs having cable landing station gateways or international long distance licenses in Bharat to watch the prevailing due diligence needs prescribed by the Central Government underneath the knowledge Technology Act, 2000.

In Dec 2016, the central government had brought about AN Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) to suggest specific solutions to handle the problem of such material on-line.
